The nation Is being gaslighted by NHS England.
Lateral flow tests (now being used as a pass into nightclubs) can show many false negatives according to the BMJ. At best 60% accuracy only in identifying infected people (figures from Cochrane Report - BMJ). The NHS site is saying

LFTs are “99.9% accurate” without any further explanation except for saying this means that a false positive result is extremely unlikely. It ignores false negatives. Completely. This is dangerously misleading. Same misleading statement on UK Gov site.
