These dangerous incidents are a direct spillover of Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine and pose a growing threat to regional security and civilian safety.

Albania stands in full solidarity with Romania and remains committed to upholding international law, sovereignty, and peace.

Konfirmuam edhe një herë se marrëdhëniet ndërmjet #Shqipërisë dhe #Kosovës mbeten një prioritet strategjik i përbashkët dhe një gur themeli i vizionit tonë për të ardhmen. Lidhjet tona të veçanta historike, kombëtare dhe njerëzore, si dhe aspiratat e përbashkëta për zhvillim, mirëqenie dhe integrim euroatlantik, përbëjnë udhërrëfyesin e bashkëpunimit tonë.

Bashkëpunimi i ngushtë mes dy vendeve mbështetet mbi një bazë të fortë institucionale, të konsoliduar përmes më shumë se 200 marrëveshjeve dhe instrumenteve të bashkëpunimit. Megjithatë, ky partneritet kërkon një fazë të re dinamizmi, koordinimi dhe zbatimi konkret. Në këtë frymë, ramë dakord të intensifikojmë përgatitjet për mbajtjen e mbledhjes së ardhshme të përbashkët të dy qeverive dhe të riaktivizojmë mekanizmat e koordinimit strategjik në të gjitha fushat me interes të përbashkët.

Ritheksova mbështetjen e palëkundur të Shqipërisë për avancimin e mëtejshëm të Kosovës në rrugën e integrimit evropian dhe euroatlantik. Theksova se dhënia e statusit të vendit kandidat për në BE përbën jo vetëm një mundësi konkrete për përshpejtimin e reformave, forcimin e institucioneve demokratike dhe afrimin me standardet evropiane, por edhe një mesazh të qartë politik për qytetarët e Kosovës se e ardhmja e tyre është në familjen evropiane.

Diskutuam gjithashtu mbi rëndësinë e vazhdimit të angazhimit konstruktiv në procesin e dialogut të ndërmjetësuar nga BE, në koordinim të ngushtë me partnerët tanë ndërkombëtarë. Një #marrëveshje gjithëpërfshirëse dhe ligjërisht detyruese, e bazuar në njohjen reciproke, mbetet rruga më e sigurt për paqen e qëndrueshme, stabilitetin rajonal dhe konsolidimin e pozicionit ndërkombëtar të Kosovës.

Albania considers #Russia’s announcement urging diplomatic personnel and foreign citizens to leave #Kyiv ahead of planned strikes to be utterly unacceptable.

Threatening embassies is not #diplomacy; it is intimidation. It represents yet another violation of international law and of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

#Albania is not backing down. We remain in Kyiv. We stand firmly with #Ukraine. And we will not be intimidated.

The answer to this war cannot be more war, more #crimes or indiscriminate attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure.

The only path forward is to end a war that should never have started, and to engage in genuine, good-faith #peace negotiations.

This was conveyed in clear terms today to the Russion Ambassador in #Tirana.

Albania condemns the Russian drone strike in Galați, #Romania, which hit a residential building and injured civilians, including a minor.

We express our full solidarity with the people and authorities of Romania and wish a swift and full recovery to those injured.

This incident represents a serious and irresponsible escalation on the part of the Russian Federation and further underscores the absurdity and human cost of Russia’s war against #Ukraine, whose consequences continue to threaten the security and safety of civilians beyond Ukraine’s borders.

#Albania will continue to stand in full solidarity with our allies and partners, in supporting coordinated efforts to put an end to this war in defense of peace, security and the fundamental principles of international law.

At @OSCE Permanent Council, @AmbassadorAlbIO 🇦🇱 welcomed the Head of @OSCEKosovo Ambassador Gerard McGruk and commended the Mission’s work in support of the country’s reforms and communities, democratization, the rule of law and consolidation of institutions. The Mission continues to enjoy the trust of all communities, including in times of heightened sensitivities.

Despite complex political developments in the country during the reporting period, Kosova’s institutions demonstrated resilience and respect for constitutional procedures, reflecting the democratic maturity of its institutional framework.

Kosova’s institutions have consistently reaffirmed their readiness to engage constructively with all communities and to safeguard continued access to essential services, including education and healthcare.

Albania fully supports the improvement of the living situation for people across Kosova. We, therefore, commend the Mission’s continued encouragement of non-majority communities to make full use of Kosova’s institutions to secure and access their legal rights.

The EU-facilitated Dialogue remains the only viable path toward the full normalization of relations between Kosova and Serbia, representing an essential contribution to a new chapter in relations between the two neighbouring countries, and to lasting peace, stability, and co-operation across the wider region.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosova 🇽🇰 & its right to consolidate law and order, and democratic and multi-ethnic institutions, must not be questioned. Rule of law and democracy are the best guarantees for peace and security in Kosova & the region.

Albania remains unwavering in its commitment to a peaceful, stable and prosperous Western Balkans and to continued co-operation with its neighbours, as we progress on our common EU 🇪🇺 accession path.

“Albania has taken one of the biggest steps yet on its path to the European Union.

It became the second candidate country, after Montenegro, to meet the interim rule of law benchmarks.

The Member States have set the final goalposts on the rule of law, fundamental rights, justice, anti-corruption and the fight against organised crime.

It means Albania can now move towards closing chapters in its EU negotiations.

This is a major achievement. It is the result of more than a decade of hard work by Albania and its people.

Albania adopted laws to protect fundamental rights and vulnerable groups. It strengthened the right to a fair trial. It vetted hundreds of judges and prosecutors. It built new judicial institutions to reduce political influence in the justice system.

It also created SPAK, the Special Structure against Corruption and Organised Crime. SPAK has become Albania’s flagship anti-corruption body and is now the most trusted institution in the country.

It’s a moment to celebrate. But it is also a moment for Albania to double down on reforms, involve all political forces, listen to civil society and deliver changes that matter to people’s daily lives.

Excellent meeting today in #Prague with the Minister of State for European Affairs at the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of #UAE, Lana Nusseibeh. It was also a heartfelt opportunity to reconnect with a former colleague and friend from our respective and memorable service at the United Nations Security Council. 🇦🇱🇦🇪

We reconfirmed the excellent state of #relations between our countries, which have grown at an impressive pace in recent years, as well as our shared commitment to further deepen a strong, forward-looking, and sustainable cooperation agenda, both bilaterally and in the multilateral arena.

Albania strongly condemns yet another brutal and indiscriminate large-scale ballistic missile and drone #attack launched last night by Russia against civilian targets in Ukraine, in total disregard for human life and basic human decency.

This time, the residential complex where the #Ambassador of Albania to #Ukraine resides was struck, putting his life at serious risk. This is unacceptable!

Targeting or endangering civilian areas and #diplomatic personnel represents a grave escalation and another stark reminder of the human cost of Russia’s continued aggression.

This war of choice has lasted for far too long. For more than four years since its illegal full-scale invasion, Russia has relentlessly targeted energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and homes across Ukraine. Yet it has failed to break the #courage, determination, resilience, and strength of the Ukrainian people.

Russia is not winning; it is only killing, destroying, and inflicting widespread devastation and suffering.

We reiterate our call on #Russia to immediately cease these attacks, put an end to the war against Ukraine, fully abide by international law, and return to negotiations.

#Albania will continue to stand firmly with #Ukraine and reiterates its unwavering support for Ukraine’s #sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. Those responsible for these attacks must be held accountable.
