@Areyoucapable@abee_fia Maybe (just maybe) Hollywood is harder on women and they can't get a role with those restrictions as easy as a man...talking about double standard
@CoachApp_35@celestialbe1ng In MA the prosecution has burden of proove thst she was sane. The defense has no need to proove that she had psychosis. You know that some states have different laws than you're used to
@Cena011714@FKR102445 I never said she didn't do it. Just showed you that not everything you check on a map is for planning a murder and it could just simply be a habit or nice to the partner. You can't just apply your thoughts to others so don't say "she planned cause she looked at maps"
@Cena011714@FKR102445 I mean, I actually check times for my husband too. Especially when I want something I'd say "I ordered there cause I crave X and they have the best. I checked, it's not that too much of a detour"
I don't care how long he takes, he does, so I check for him
@MrSpIcEz@Pnl0828@TheMarieOakes He just doesn't want a mistrial. Jury deliberations are secret. Maybe he just wants to appeal the verdict later instead of going all over again
@ipwnkyle@EricLDaugh So many emotional reactions to a simple question π±
Not sure this is the best demonstration of why women are supposedly too emotional for positions of power. But who am I to question the good ol' patriarchy? πππ
@ipwnkyle@EricLDaugh Are you part of the jury? Or how do you know that the women are the issue? Maybe it's 11 against 1 and the one hindering a verdict is a man π€―π±
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar You're answering my question with another question about their trial strategy...this still only tells us what they chose not to contest in court. It doesn't tell us what their investigation found, nor does it establish that police adequately investigated things. Separate issues
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar You're part of the defense team? Or how you know what they found or considered. You know what they chose to argue in court. Those aren't necessarily the same thing. And we're somehow still discussing the defense when my point was about the quality of the police investigation...
@TheShackLady@RedPilled_Siren That's not the point. Yates reportedly wanted to be executed, yet she also did what Clancy is doing now: fought her conviction and pursued an insanity defense. That's the comparison. How someone behaves afterward doesn't tell you whether they were psychotic at the time.
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar theory. They can decide that lack of criminal responsibility is the stronger defense while still exposing holes in the police investigation. Trial strategy doesn't retroactively prove the original investigation was thorough.
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar I think this is the part you're missing. What the defense chose to argue at trial doesn't tell us everything their investigators found or didn't find. Even if they found evidence pointing elsewhere, they aren't obligated to build their trial strategy around an alternative-suspect
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar It's still not his job to conduct the police investigation. That's the police's responsibility. What is so difficult to understand about that?
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar never know what a proper investigation would have established. Whether Reddington chose to make those failures central to his defense is irrelevant to that criticism. βThe defense didn't rely on itβ doesn't make an investigative failure cease to be one.
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar I think we're arguing two different things. I'm criticizing the original investigation itself. If police developed tunnel vision and failed to properly investigate or preserve evidence at the time, a defense investigation three years later can't recreate what was lost, and we may
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar And choosing lack of criminal responsibility as the strongest trial strategy doesn't prove what the defense privately believes happened β it's a legal strategy, not a substitute for the original police investigation.
@ashlee_leeee@barb_walz@SunTzusWar I know. I'm not saying the defense is arguing Patrick killed them. I'm saying they don't have to prove an alternative culprit in order to criticize holes in the investigation. Their chosen defense is lack of criminal responsibility, but the CW still retains its burden of proof.
