When the destructive hands cast their shadow over Suwayda, attempting to turn it into ashes, the youth of Suwayda confronted that with art, proving that their city can only be told in the language of life.

The artist Ya'rub Nasif, son of the city of Shahba, shared through his personal page works in which he draws with the ashes remaining from the fires, transforming the blackness into paintings... as he called it "A Painting from the Ashes of War" in a collaborative work with the young man Sari Darwish.

الفنان يعرب ناصيف، ابن مدينة شهبا، شارك عبر صفحته الشخصية أعمالاً يرسم فيها بالرماد المتبقي من الحرائق، محولاً السواد إلى لوحات.. كما أسماها لوحة من رماد الحرب بعمل مشترك مع الشاب ساري درويش.

After over fifty days since their abduction during the Sweida raid, the families of five young men from the Radwan and Namr clans confirmed the martyrdom of their sons, identifying their bodies at Al-Muwassat Hospital in Damascus through tattoos and unique markers.
The victims are:
•Faris Hassan Radwan
•Ma’moun Hassan Radwan
•Hassan Faris Radwan
•Ala’a Faris Radwan
•Hussein Fahd Namr.
Reports suggest the young men were taken from Sweida to #Daraa, executed in the field, and their bodies later transferred to #Damascus.
In a related incident, the families of four others recognized photos of their sons’ bodies circulated from #Damascus hospitals. They are:
•Engineer Faisal Salama Hatoum
•Akram Badr Hatoum
•Yusuf Hamd Amer
•Raja Jihad Abu Al-Muna.
They were kidnapped mid-July while en route to bury their relative, martyr Fadel Hatoum, and were subsequently executed in a similar manner!!
In a separate case, the body of the young man “Jamil Hussein Al-Ma’az” was returned to his family in #Jaramana on September 3, bearing evident signs of torture, after he disappeared during the same attack on the city.
● Photos of some of the aforementioned martyrs circulating on social media, may God have mercy on them, stand as a grim testament to the atrocities committed against the people of #Jabal Al Druze
