Congratulations to Paine Elementary for being selected as a 2024 CLAS School of Distinction!
The CLAS (Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools) Banner School program was created in 2001 to recognize schools in Alabama that showcase outstanding programs and service to students.
This year, 234 schools were nominated for this prestigious recognition, with 222 applications submitted. Paine Elementary was among only 32 schools selected for this distinguished award, which recognizes school programs that serve as outstanding educational models for other schools in Alabama.
Paine Elementary will be honored at an awards luncheon on May 5, where Principal Dr. Lisa Lothspeich will share a brief overview of their exceptional program, "Using Cognitive Interest Cues to Spark Curiosity, Enhance Engagement, and Facilitate Deeper Learning."
Congratulations to Paine Elementary—another shining example of "Triple A Excellence" within Trussville City Schools!
