@malikmagma23@Georgeabrams53 That's what I'm saying?
Loki's $25m actually translates to $30m adjusted for 2025 inflation.
Each episode cost twice as much as Lanterns.
@Georgeabrams53@hernandy_s Where are you getting your numbers?
Each episode of Loki cost twice as much as a Lanterns episode😭 Not to mention they were shorter.

@GoodNightDrew@hernandy_s Lanterns' budget per episode was half the price of a Loki ep. With inflation & being shot on real locations as opposed to Loki's studio sets & volume, the difference kinda makes sense.
Both of those numbers seem overblown for tax write-offs tho. They probably cost less each.
@UltimaReturn@PomegranateCity The main tricks in making +20 episode seasons of tv were always cheap locations (studio sets and filming outside the US), tight filming schedules (crew is expensive, so filming an episode in a week was pretty essential), and basic direction to move along faster.

@AnthonyBel4rv@KelzActually@hernandy_s The budget was never reported outside of fan rumors. (But then again why would you believe anything Kelz says considering their reputation...)

@Le__colombien @EvensVeron pour moi aussi. la beauté des comics réside dans les différentes interprétations que chaque auteur y apporte.
(mais ils ne devraient pas adapter ce livre entièrement.)
@MrKIsADJ Which isn't even one of those reinterpretations people get so pressed with when it comes to King's works.
That aspect of anti-life equation has been there since Morrison introduced it in Seven Soldiers. It kinda became a representation of everything wrong with the everyday life.
@MrKIsADJ Read it and you'll see.
I've seen people pick this book up as their first comic and have a much better understanding of it than some of these so-called fans.
I don't want to spoil it for you, but anti-life in this book mostly represents "depression" than "fascism".
@zotezotee@AQS_7@GeneratorRexy@TheHatalwayswin How dare you bring up "reinterpretation" and "change" in cbtwt? These are stock characters & concepts, meant to forever stay as such.
Blasphemous.
@Lim38878197@ineedmorearms@PomegranateCity Moore has suffered from comic-exclusive readers with surface understanding of his works since the moment he broke into the US.
And at least based on my observations, 9 out of 10 of them have only read The Watchmen and The Killing Joke.
@WayneG1939@batmancurated Aft first, I thought the same, but now it actually sounds like he's saying that type of conflict or direction for the antagonist hasn't been done before.
We could potentially be setting ourselves up for disappointment by ignoring the full quote.
@sentryist He wrote each episode in one week, same as the previous season.
It's just that the direction for this season demands more set-ups (joggling two separate worlds). Just like S1, its second-half is where the season is potentially going to prove itself.
