@jammasternate Similar scenario in PR. I’m in a building with 4 other Airbnbs and only 2 of us have “pro” photos. Still blows my mind that they haven’t taken them and they’ve been in business for years…
@MarcioClutch@MrJonesSTRs Still don't understand what deferment means after selling. When you sell the property (let's say you don't 1031), what happens with the tax deferment? Is it $ you have to pay back to the IRS after the sale?
@brianbreslin What I’ve liked: rectangle table with less wide end against a wall, monitor to plug into mounted on that wall (show deck, etc), 2 rolling chairs on each side (supports not just 1on1), either wall is whiteboard painted or big whiteboards next to the monitor (brainstorm together)
@marshal Details of how the exit came together from start to closing (super hard to find real stories on this), your financial strategy going forward post exit, how you find/judge/execute business opportunities, how life as an entrepreneur changed post becoming a father
@brianbreslin It really depends on the team and what the meetings are typically for. The biggest reduction for us came from using Loom or Slack screen recordings for things that could be done async. Every quarter look at recurring meetings and cut low value ones.
@jammasternate AI wars. Pretty sure they wanted to demo stuff before Google I/O. Also, Ilya leaving a few days later is no coincidence. They needed something big before that.
@brianbreslin Yep. Also, I'm almost a daily FB user now because I joined a few specific groups that are highly specific (never thought I'd be). Tons of daily engagement in groups. I posted a question the other day and had multiple replies within a few hours.
@jammasternate Ouch. Did you look into Sensibo for the ACs? Makes any split unit "smart." It's not amazing but it gets the job done for me.
What's the plug like for the jacuzzi? They have smart plugs that have energy monitoring. Maybe the app has an alert or a way to make it auto turn off.
@Patticus Only things that worked for me: 1) exercise through fun activities (beach volleyball and soccer for me, 2) intermittent fasting, 3) making default food choices as healthy as possible (meal plans worked well), 4) surround myself with healthy/active people (helps avoid bad food)
@Patticus In times of struggling to lose weight or putting on weight, it’s been mainly a lifestyle issue. Being a founder takes up a ton of mental energy making it difficult to either make healthy food decisions (with little free time) or muster the physical energy to get exercise in.
@jammasternate I don’t use this feature but it’s possible with Sensibo. I have one for every AC unit in our airbnb. Peace of mind of being able to check temperature in every room and turn on/off ACs remotely.
@jammasternate We review quickly and do a follow up a few days later if they haven't left a review yet. I like the tactic of showing the proof of giving them a good review. Will start doing that.
@brianbreslin@MiamiHerald Yeah I tried citronella plants and no luck. Do you know what the buckets are called? May try buying a few myself. Paola doesn't want any chemicals being sprayed on the yard. Do you know if it's something strong?
