Pangolins aren’t just victims of trafficking, they are #Ecosystem engineers.
By regulating insect populations, pangolins protect forests and farmlands. Their loss threatens ecological balance across Africa.
Ending #trafficking means protecting nature itself.
#NatureProtection
Pangolins are being hunted, trafficked, and exploited at alarming levels.
#Pangolins face one of the gravest threats in modern history despite all 8 pangolin species, 4 in Africa & 4 in Asia, being listed under Appendix I of CITES, which prohibits international commercial trade.
Alarm over escalating #pangolin trafficking in Africa!
Over 1 million pangolins were killed in just 13 years. Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon & Nigeria are emerging as key trafficking hubs for the world’s most #illegally traded mammal.
Stronger enforcement is needed to end this crisis.
Happy #WorldWetlandsDay2026!
40% of all plant and animal species live or breed in wetlands.
More than a billion people globally depend on wetlands for their livelihoods - that’s about 1 in 8 people on earth.
It is our responsibility to protect them!
#CelebratingWetlands
Wetlands are critical to climate resilience, #biodiversity, and human wellbeing.
Yet they are among the most threatened ecosystems.
Losing #wetlands means losing #climate resilience.
It’s time to act!
#ClimateAction
Can we still keep #globalwarming below 1.5°C?
The latest Emissions Gap Report reports we need:
🌡️55% emissions reduction by 2035 for the 1.5°C pathway
🌡️ 35% reduction to stay under 2°C
🌍Current commitments only deliver 12–15% cuts
Yes, it's possible, but we must act faster!
The latest @UNEP Emissions Gap Report warns that global temperatures are likely to surpass 1.5°C soon!
Record emissions are pushing us past a critical limit, a breach of the #ParisAgreement threshold
This is the moment for bold, collective climate solutions, no delay-no excuses
