Follicle center lymphoma of the lower female genital tract:

🩸Typically localized disease with no evidence of bone marrow involvement

🩸Most cases show a follicular pattern, at least focally

🩸Large centrocytes may be a prominent feature, leading to concern for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma; Although large cell lymphoma transformation may rarely occur

🩸Typically negative for BCL2 expression by IHC & BCL2 rearrangement by FISH

🩸Pathogenic mutation of TNFRSF14 is the most common mutation

🩸Typically no mutations in CREBBP or KMT2D (which are typically seen in nodal follicular lymphoma)

🩸The constellation of these features may argue that follicle center lymphoma of the lower female genital tract could be a variant of primary cutaneous follicle center lymphoma (PCFCL)
