@supiebrian@StanCollymore 'Organising a major tournament'.
I was at the WRU World Cup final at Twickenham last year. 81,000.
A great family day out.
Does this count? Or are you just talking football?
@Mickiflodi@podevyns Think the tipping point for London will be when it is harder to sell one's house with no air-con fitted.
With a heat pump, solar panels already in I dont think mine would actually need a massive amount done to it.
@Mickiflodi@podevyns I'll confess Michael, this week would have been nice to have had air-con at home in London, especially at night. But hey, we have just lived in the shade outside for a bit.
Would have used it for a few days in July 2022, but not since then.
@LFCAmericanReds I have to admit the levels of USA-UK-Europe animosity are highly pernicious. Maybe Trump initially started a lot of this, & a succession of leaders trooped up to pay him fealty, but now it's all gone toxic.
Looking forward to a reset someday!
@clairlemon Similar story Claire. One of the risks to assess in the 2012 London Olympics was heatwave. The Australian advisors (from Sydney 2000) said "strewth mate- in Australia we call that Winter!"
@KwizatsCadillak@3YearLetterman They are, Sir!
Even on my commuter train into the centre of London.
And District Line Undergound!
And as a senior citizen- all free.
Why should I waste petrol driving my convertible around with that level of service?
@absinthiagreen@ConciousLabRat Whataboutism.
Did I say there wasn't? But I can vote for change if I don't approve it.
The post implied a superior Russian economy.
So i asked if wealth inequality was very high there.
@Mossy55018@joncoupland I find the Ferrari a bit skittish, finicky, just like a horse in fact.
The Mclaren drove as if there's a USB cable plugged into one's brain- think about turnin-oo, it's turned!
Both great fun- in slightly different ways.
@3YearLetterman@piersmorgan@YHSAthletics You sound very angered, hubristic, troubled.
I'd really like you to sit quietly in a dark room for a little while- perhaps turn your air-con on.
Calm down a bit, fella?
@ConciousLabRat 1.Sanctions busting tanker fleet
2. Support from China
3. Man in the White House boosting the price of oil by launching a stupid war.
4. Economy growing due to military spending sooner or later have fiscal repercussions
@ConciousLabRat Putin has his 1,000 yr history project, he saw non-Nato Ukraine as the easy first step. He also knew a prosperous, free Ukraine would be the envy of his citizens.
He couldnt resist the grab. Only Ukraine wasn't the easy win was it?
@ConciousLabRat Russia's not been stable since WW2. We've got two opposite cultures. Russia would adore a compliant West as customer, but Kremlin talk is always about nuking the West etc.
It's simple, neither trusts each other, but be honest- Putin desires his empire again
@jeremycorbyn This peaceful, equal and dignified society you yearn for and intend to create- can you give me an example of one working successfully anywhere in the world please?
