Incredibly proud of the work of the amazing cast & crew on #Ogham. I am beyond excited to complete post production and share this story with an audience. All made possible with @ScreenIreland supporting #IrishFilm

Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Radi family in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip. With ambulances unable to reach the area, the young children are scrambling to get their injured father to the hospital.
The drive for representative diversity in the film business has completely ignored people from working class backgrounds. Many other minority groups are targeted for support and inclusion (with varying success) but if you’re “just” working class, forget about it.
It’s shameful.
@TheOtterRuthie I did survey on renters over on my Instagram; over 15,000 responded. 98% of them said they were not renting by choice. Imagine all of those people were able to buy their own home? Huge 📈 in rental stock, added to the fact that everything currently being built in DCC is BTR
In 2023; of the 32,695 homes built, only 27% were sold on the market.
In Dublin City, 94% of all new housing was apartments (98% for rent or social, just 2% for sale).
Since 2017, new housing coming to the market for sale is down 48%.
So much for the party of homeownership 🫠

The Third Man's 75th anniversary ~ A stylistic landmark, using locations haunted by real life tragedy combined with off kilter lighting and camera angles make for an indelible atmosphere, elegiac and wistful, but not without its sense of glee, epitomised by Lime's immortal smile

From 1930 to 1970 the mortality rates were markedly higher in the institution compared with the national rates.
The national infant mortality (number of infant deaths aged under 1 year per 1,000 live births) in Ireland decade-on-decade was:
People rage at #stolen and rightly so but this has been said over and over again. For years. The redress scheme should have people on the streets but it doesn't.

These are the two flights that that flew over Ireland on 1 and 27 February 2024 carrying a combined 31.7 tonnes of weaponry bound for Israel
All three government party leaders have suggested this year no Israel-destined munitions are being flown over Irish sovereign airspace
Saw this video on same day there was a mass beach tennis match being played in Tel Aviv for Israeli internal propaganda. Never felt so sick & helpless in face of pure evil triumphing. Where are the grown ups in the room who can actually stop this killing.
The Democratic National Convention held its first-ever panel on Palestinian rights Monday, including harrowing testimony from Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan, who volunteered at a hospital in Gaza earlier this year. "We have witnessed civilian massacre after civilian massacre," she said.
Desperately sad images. Sow stalls/gestation crates, they are one and the same. Gestation crates are banned in the EU, except the first 4 weeks of pregnancy. And the sow can be put in a stall a week before birth, so in reality she spends nearly half her life trapped in a cage too narrow to turn around in. Nearly all pigs in Ireland are bred and reared in factory farms, subjected to this misery. Unbelievably some try to claim this is high welfare 🐷
