1:1 model of the #SmoothQ gimbal turned out as good as I had hoped! Scanned the contour lines and aligned everything in #Blender3D. A bit of modeling, and now I have a surface that I can design a 3D-printable clamp around for the microphone mount.

Well, it's not bad prediction of the future. I think 3 years from now we'll have virtual cinema lenses on our phones. Buttery smooth bokeh like #planetearth2, but without spending $2,000 on a lens. I have a #SmoothQ camera stabilizer and want to attach a #RodeMicro microphone. I need a way to join the two and #3Dprinting a mount seems like a great solution, but I don't have a capable #3DScanner. Tracing scans from an old fashioned contour gauge to the rescue!
