I was having a conversation with our head of recruitment and I am blown away by the narrow mindedness of the recruiting industry.

We reject 1000's of CV's simply because the person does not have experience in our industry. This creates an incestuous culture where everyone is after the same candidates in the same small pool.

The work around for job seekers, is to cater every single resume' or CV for the job you are applying to. This is tedious, but you have to play their game to even get noticed.

The act or quest of knowing oneself is incredibly challenging. For me personally, I studied a BCOM degree in order to be "a generalist", I then studied an honors and now a masters degree in business' administration all with the intention to understand my purpose, my reason for being or what I was put on this earth to do. I am turning 35 this year and I still do not know the answer to this question.

For young people, the lesson is serious but also obvious. Shy away from the mistakes of those who have gone before you, take the time to find yourself, seek answers, do not embark on an academic or career journey because it is the "right thing to do" but rather take advantage of your own curiosity in your quest to see how you can shape the world.

Be kind to yourself, be gentle in not knowing. Not knowing is not only common but probably the single biggest question that humans are trying to answer around the world. You are young, you have time, you owe it to yourself to know, or at least have an idea what it is you will do to shape the world before jumping into the world of adulthood and responsibilities.

@agoda we left early from Wings By Croske in Langkawi. We were fooled by the reviews and closer expectation these were all fake reviews that could not be further from the truth. The hotel is in complete disarray, the corridors have not been cleaned and there are stains on the carpets and the smell of cigarettes in the air. The first room we were put in had not been cleaned, there was week old curry in the bar fridge and pubic hair on all of the surfaces. The second room was no better unclean and disgusting I have included pictures where there is blood on the surfaces in the room. I woke up this morning with bed bug bites all over my chest from the disgusting condition of the hotel. We have subsequently ended our 3 night stay after only staying one night as the conditions were unhygienic. We have contacted your support who say the hotel refuses to compensate us, not even for the nights that we have not stayed.

@agoda your platform is complicit in advertising and platforming scammers. We were mislead by the advertising and photos on your platform and require you to intervene and deal with the offending party.
