Glasgow has absorbed a disproportionate share.

Record numbers of households including children are now in temporary accommodation.

Housing stock in already deprived communities is under severe strain.

Local families with deep ties to an area should not be placed at the back of the queue for scarce homes.

Reinstating a local connection test would restore the ability of councils to prioritise those who actually live, work or have family in the community they apply to.
