Today in France, President Tinubu praised Nigeria's youth as "vibrant" and ready to be trained in skills to enable them work. This is a far cry from when President Buhari described Nigeria's youth as "lazy" and unwilling to work.

However, have you ever considered that 100% of Nigeria's Grammy winners are either wholly or partly Yoruba. 100% of Nigeria's Unified World Heavyweight Boxing Champions have been Yoruba. 100% of our Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners are Yoruba. 100% of the top ten Nollywood movies are by Yoruba directors.

Despite the above, since you were born until today, have you ever seen, heard, or even imagined a Yoruba person making such a boast about the meritocratic abilities of Yorubas to the exclusion and detriment of other Nigerians?

We value our athletes, but this is not how to build unity in a country. We are all proud of D’Tigress. Please don't make the team a tribal project when they ought to be a national treasure.
