#InternationalWomensDay So many amazing women have made the #canals what they are today, we're making a week of celebrating them. Today: Angela Rolt and Ray Aickman, there at the start of the campaigns to save the #inlandwaterways. Listen to their story https://t.co/gkFzzgBfvV
Thank you! Alongside the stories of #women in the #BlackCountry, you'll find three very important women who were there at the start if saving the canals: Angela Rolt, Ray Aickman and Elizabeth Jane Howard .
Wonderful to welcome @AlarumProd to the #FundBritainsWaterways campaign!
If you haven't watched I Dig Canals and heard the stories of women who helped to save #Birmingham and #BlackCountry canals, visit https://t.co/Lm6WcBdaoh
@heatherwastie
@the_pirate_cat@ladylynncarter I've evaluated canal heritage projects for the amazing @AlarumProd and came close with a WW1 parish home front project (the parish is bounded on 2 sides by the Severn and had a busy quay) but not had a proper chance to delve!
We're looking forward to it! #TitfordPumphouse is such an iconic building, the highest point on the #Birmingham#Canals. Thank you @BCNSociety for hosting and @ace_national for supporting the R&D of our lovely new show about real events a century ago.
It's tonight! Tickets still available. Have heard great things about this new show. Wish we were closer as we'd love to see it. Don't miss Rats, Ropes and Revolution with @AlarumProd
