@Italian_tuneup 559 has been painted in the new "Salmon People" paint, celebrating the people of Alaska. It's a beautiful livery.

#N559AS, the Salmon-Thirty-Salmon II plane, is headed to AMA for repaint. It is the last Alaska plane to feature the classic logo font. After paint, the entire fleet will feature the new logo design. #alaskaairlines #boeing737

The Dash 8/Q400 fleet is officially retired. There are now no more turboprop aircraft in active service for Alaska Airlines, nor by any regional airline for any of the major U.S. airlines.

The final Dash 8 flight for Horizon is Flight 2400 on 1/26 from Spokane to Seattle. That flight is apparently sold out, unsurprisingly. #alaskaairlines #horizonair #dash8

As of today, only 3 Dash-8 aircraft are in scheduled service: N421QX (QX Retro), N435QX (UW Huskies), and N453QX (the youngest airframe, delivered 2015). 421 was scheduled to ferry to VCV tomorrow but was canceled and is still scheduled through at least 1/13. #alaskaairlines

@AlaskaFleet 421 is supposed to be operating the final passenger flight on January 26th pending no maintenance issues many have confirmed with me.

The Alaska A320 fleet has officially been retired.

@Italian_tuneup It's in Greensboro, which is where a lot of mods are done. I don't know the specifics of why it's there right now.

If all have truly been removed, that would account for 9 of the 11 airframes which are scheduled for removal this calendar year.

Four additional Dash-8s have been flown to Sault Ste. Marie (YAM): N403QX, N404QX, N412QX and N452QX. Likely fleet removal, though heavy checks are done there as well for DH8D's. N402QX has been there since Aug 3. #alaskaairlines #horizonair #dash8
