On Friday, July 30, Seward Street will be closed between Front Street and Municipal Way for a celebration of the “Raven Story” postage stamp, hosted by the US Postal Service and Sealaska Heritage Institute. The road will be closed to all vehicular traffic between 7 am and 3 pm.
I am so happy to report that last night the Alaska Senate accepted my amendment to create the Long Trail - a 500 mile trail from Fairbanks to Seward. It will join world famous trails like the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, the Inca Trail in Peru, etc #getoutdoors#hiking
