You know what I think is funny? How many Rust folks are upset over the serde precompiled binaries, but completely trust rustup to pull a similar trick with the entire toolchain.
Rust continues to have a horrific bootstrapping problem, and that includes the libraries like serde.

Rust-lang people, I have a question. How are you collecting licenses of all your dependencies (and transitive dependencies) to produce a full license and copyright file or list when you package and distribute a rust program?

@MargaretForSCC @Rainbow_Silks I understand though I disagree with it. The US is accustomed to wars happening elsewhere, even if we are intimately connected to the violence. This is being sensitive to any even vague, perceived threat to the US, and totally insensitive to threats to people in other countries.

@celechii You probably know this, but a neat trick you can sometimes use is to compare two squared magnitudes. Like if you are asking, "are these two things more than 20 units apart", you can just do "diff_x * diff_x + diff_y * diff_y > 20 * 20", so sometimes you can avoid the sqrt.
