@SameSam64 Yes, it’s amazing to think of that. The illustration explains to me why the pot of red clover in my garden became so stuck to the ground. The roots must go down twice as deep as the pot.
@SameSam64 That’s really interesting. I wonder if there is a similar diagram to compare different edible crops. I’m thinking in particular of the difference between perennials and annuals.
Even though the outside temperature has dropped, it was still 27.5°C in my house at 6am today. It’s a shame all this excess energy can’t be put to use somehow, rather than just making the house too hot to sleep. #heatwave2022
