The Scottish Citizens Army confirms that dialogue has been opened with Police Scotland.

A representative has initiated contact with a view to arranging a formal meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss relations between local communities and the police, and to seek clarity on:

• ⁠ Police Scotland’s future plans for tackling sexual violence in our cities

• ⁠how public anger is being listened to and understood

• ⁠how both sides can move forward

Inclusion will be at our discretion and limited to matters that can properly and lawfully be raised.

The meeting, if confirmed, will be conducted on a professional and lawful basis.
