@DavidMcGregorBN Are you just going to tweet rubbish and disappear? I said: Glasgow had to pay Labours debt. Our council had to pay off WASPI £millions because Labour promised and reneged. SNP also have to pay Labour PFI debt. Then there’s £650m mitigation yearly of bad policy by Tory/Labour.🫥🫥
A video has ignited questions over the impartiality of British policing after a man holding a placard reading “I oppose Palestine Action I support genocide” approached officers and asked why he was not being arrested despite police detaining people carrying Palestine Action signs
Younger people:
There was a time, in the not too distant past, when you could 'phone a company, council, bank, energy supplier, shop, hospital, doctor, airline, or anyone really. It rang a couple of times and a human answered the 'phone. They spoke perfect English and managed to sort your query quickly, politely and efficiently. It was great.
Yep. That really used to happen. 😀
Prior to the Treaty of Union 1706 Daniel Defoe stated:
“The Scots will be allowed to send to Westminster a handful of men who will make no weight whatever.
They will be allowed to
sit there for form's sake
to be laughed at."
Still the case today. 🏴🏴🏴
Even now there’s some who say this is a “voluntary”union,
If so…..Why are we told we have to “ask” for a vote?,
How come we can get told you’re not having one?,
Why? Because we ARE a colony..we’re controlled,
English based parties here acting as if they speak for us.🤦🏻♂️
Let’s show Labour for what they are, duplicitous charlatans that will say anything to get elected.
Repost, show your friends & family, repost, show your work friends, repost, show neighbours, repost, repost, repost…..
You get the drift.
So England bans Scotland from having DRS but lets Wales go ahead. Then announces DRS for England & NI. Leaving Scotland only nation in UK without one. FFS, people. How much longer are you going to accept this constant undermining of our interests by London?
Thirty pieces of silver - after 300 years some Scots still willing to sell their nation for English trinkets and rewards. Ermine now the standard uniform of the 2014 betrayers and quislings.
They wanted him to die in prison.
I can't get that out of my head. We knew they were lying, they knew they were lying, the jury knew they were lying, the media knew they were lying.
Everybody knew. The liars are still out there, still lying.
No conscience? 🤬That's a worry.
It’s difficult to capture the depth of emotions that I, and so many others, are feeling right now. Alex Salmond was more than a political leader; he was the spark that ignited my unwavering belief in Scotland’s right to self-determination. His intellectual brilliance, compassion, and political insight set him apart—there is no one who even comes close to matching his influence. He truly stood in a league of his own.
Alex guided us closer to the dream of independence than ever before. Now, it falls to us to continue the journey he so bravely led. His legacy endures, inspiring new ideas and possibilities that will shape the future of our nation.
Today, in his memory, I have made a personal contribution to an initiative that embodies the forward thinking spirit he so passionately believed in. It's a small gesture, but one I hope will carry forward the legacy of innovation and independence that Alex devoted his life to.
Rest well, big man. Scotland's loss is Heaven’s gain.
The dream shall never die.🏴
