US plan to axe the International Criminal Court is bonkers. But hey, why should Trump tolerate a court concerned with crimes against humanity? Important that Aus flatly rejects this, even as Washington threatens retribution against allies who resist the monstrous plan #auspol
If the government is serious about taking on AI risk to national security, the first step is obvious: cancel the Palantir contracts. You can't call foreign corporate control of sensitive government data a disruption risk and then keep expanding that predator company's access.
Four Australian women have been killed in four days by men known to them.
This is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the families, friends, and communities grieving the loss of loved ones.
Back in January I called for a Royal Commission into family and domestic violence. We cant continue to accept this level of violence against women.
A Royal Commission is the most comprehensive, transparent and credible way to uncover systemic failures, identify what is and isn't working, and ensure victim-survivors are not re-traumatised by the very institutions meant to protect them. We need governments to treat family and domestic violence like the national crisis it is, and to act.

Builders have to pay for bricks. Bakers have to pay for flour. It’s pretty obvious that the gas industry should have to pay for gas.
Co-CEO Richard Denniss unpacks this issue in the latest episode of “What’s the Point?”

More women have been murdered since 2024 by men than all Australians killed by terrorism globally in the past 100 years. Yet there are no Royal Commission’s for women still. No emergency task forces. No addresses to the nation. No days of mourning
There were 15 people killed in the horrific Bondi attack in 2025 and @AlboMP implemented a Royal Commission shortly after. Peak bodies, victim/survivors and service providers have been calling for a Royal Commission into DV for over a decade. Absolute Silence.
Albanese Govt fighting hard to prevent us knowing where the nuclear waste from his AUKUS debacle will be stored! We have a right to know. I stand with @MrRexPatrick in pursuing this answer. #auspol
Snowy 2.0’s costs have gone from 2 to 6 to 12 to 40 billion dollars. Despite the fact WE’RE PAYING for the project, the Govt says WE’RE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE the project’s monthly cost and schedule updates. Let’s see what the Full Federal Court has to say about that! #FOI 👊 #auspol
I asked the Foreign Minister in Question time about Government investments and contracts in shonky Palantir, she took it on notice and then came back with this "answer"
Convinced more than ever if procurement rules let Palantir in it's time to fix the rules and ditch Palantir!
Yesterday, Pauline Hanson went on record in the senate saying that she “supports the 26 weeks of paid parental leave” passed recently.
Pauline, we looked at your voting record. You didn’t even show up to vote for it, and the only One Nation MP in attendance voted against it.
When asked whether he would hold a national plebiscite for a gas tax, Albanese had a lot of criticism...for strawman arguments nobody is actually saying.
The fact is a 25% tax on gas exports is hugely popular with voters, and would raise around $17 billion each year!

Germany and France are out of Palantir and now Spain. It's time for Australia to start looking towards sovereign control of critical systems and reducing our reliance on US billionaire owned and controlled tech.
David Pocock pauses, overcome with emotion, while detailing UN’s horrific findings against Israel
“IDF has now killed 20,000 Palestinian children”
“…deliberately shot at children’s limbs…as a twisted game of target practice”😔
Barbaric & sickening. This is our ally?
Today Parliament will debate a bill to cut 160,000 people from the NDIS. Treasury says only 2.6% of savings will come from cutting down on rorts and waste. Most savings will be from denying disabled people the support they need.
Meanwhile, the govt admits to 'tens of billions' wasted on defence but won't undertake an inquiry into AUKUS.
Priorities?

The Labor Government doing what it does best - insisting the emperor is fully clothed!
Labor just blocked a Greens motion in the Reps for real committee oversight of NACC Commissioner candidates, instead backing the same process that gave us Brereton. They have learned nothing.
"It's just frustrating having worked in climate for over 30 years to now learn the only way that we get a national park....when we give a free kick to the oil and gas industry so they can greenwash."

Labor has ganged up with the Libs to vote against the Greens’ efforts to get under 18 year-old workers paid super, denying 515,000 young workers across the country. Instead they've chosen to line the pockets of big corps with money that should be going to our 15-17 year olds.
