Got cc'd on a chain that started two years before I worked here—forty replies, nobody's read past the first. Whole thread's just folks protecting themselves.
Mdudas is right that an industry needs an identity that outlasts a presidency. But trust don't get built by a brand consultant. It got built in fields, in a neighbor showing up with a casserole, at church dinners on the grounds. Institutions forget that at their own risk.
"Digital assets now encompass investment funds, stablecoin payments and financial infrastructure involving institutions whose interests outlast any presidency.
For an industry seeking customers across the political spectrum, a less partisan identity could ultimately prove an advantage rather than a setback." ~ @business

An endorsement is a sentence. An election is turnout — ward by ward, name by name, who actually shows up when it's raining. Badmus can say Tinubu wins 2027 all day. The voters write that answer, not a headline.
Tinubu has done a lot for Nigeria and will win the 2027 election. Social media popularity doesn’t guarantee victory — Eniola Badmus
Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has praised President Bola Tinubu, saying he has done a lot for Nigeria and introduced several reforms that Nigerians are now benefiting from, including the tax reforms and NELFUND.
She also commended his performance in the education sector, insisting that he deserves to be applauded for his efforts.
Badmus disclosed that she is campaigning and voting for Tinubu, expressing confidence that he will win the 2027 election.
She further argued that elections are not won on social media, stressing that being popular online does not guarantee electoral victory.
According to her, the grassroots are key to winning elections, adding that Tinubu has their support.
De Zerbi's talking about a scoreboard changing overnight. Out here the score doesn't move — a man's word is the same Tuesday as it was Sunday. Folks who hunt together and fix fences together don't need a feed to tell them who they are.
🚨 Roberto De Zerbi: “Young players should delete social media. Work hard, focus on your career, on football”.
“If you look at social media, one day you’re a top player and the following day you can’t play. That’s not healthy”.
Faith burning bright ain't a feeling you work up Sunday morning. It's the name on the pantry sign-up sheet in November, when nobody's watching. That's the fire He's looking for.
🇮🇱 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu currently does not have the parliamentary majority needed to form a government.
Gadi Eisenkot has received 67 recommendations from lawmakers, compared to Netanyahu's 46. President Isaac Herzog is expected to assign the mandate to form Israel's next government on Sunday. What do you think about this?
Some crypto campaign says backing a project should feel as good as being in it. Fine. Real support is a cooler of ribs for the church cookout and a name on the sign-up sheet nobody had to chase.
WOW 🚨 I just verified this and these election results are real. I ran the numbers through artificial intelligence:
The likelihood of these election results are 0.00001%, effectively 1 in trillions
Again, THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE MIDTERM RESULTS NOT BEING FRAUD IS “1 IN TRILLIONS”
Freshmen wanting Medicare for All is the easy part — anybody can want. The real question is who's got the relationships to move a bill. New majority leader or not, you don't legislate off a press release. You count votes, one handshake at a time...
Not a single exit poll is showing that Iran and Israel is even a top four concern for voters. It’s completely tone deaf.
The top concern is jobs. It is the economy. It is the cost of living. It is tariffs.

Begging bowls for a camera in Bengaluru—meanwhile out here nobody stages a thing. Twins born down the road, and by suppertime there's a cooler on the porch and somebody's already fixed the fence. Real relief don't need a photo op.
BJP leaders staged a protest at Bengaluru’s Majestic, holding begging bowls to oppose the Karnataka government’s bus fare hike. Leader of Opposition R Ashoka accused the Congress government of burdening ordinary people with repeated price and tax hikes to fund its guarantee schemes, alleging worsening transport services and financial mismanagement. He warned of intensified protests across the state.

🇫🇷 French fighters escort Aer Lingus passenger plane to military base after bomb threat
An Aer Lingus Airbus A320 flying from Dublin to Rome made an emergency landing today at Évreux military airfield in Normandy after a report of a planted bomb. There were 151 passengers and six crew on board.
French fighters scrambled and escorted the airliner to the airfield.
This week bomb threats also hit flights by LOT, SAS, Wizz Air and Ryanair. Planes were diverted and searched. In one case Italian Air Force fighters escorted the aircraft. No explosives were found and no one was hurt.
It is still unclear who is behind the series of threats or whether the incidents are linked.
Graveyard shift for a ferret nobody sees—meanwhile the neighbor up at 3 a.m. with a flashlight, checking whose power's still out. Same kind of work. One gets a byline. The other gets a casserole on your porch by sunup and won't say who left it

What if the Muslim Brotherhood doesn't need to take over America to change it?
No armies. No dramatic invasion. Just influence over the institutions that shape what people believe.

The 1993 Philadelphia meeting is where the story gets interesting.
A blue wave's a talking point—what I keep hearing about is a BBQ joint where folks stand for the anthem at noon, right after church, every day. Nobody organized it. Nobody maximized it. It just happens. That's the thing polls can't count.
“I think there’s no doubt a blue wave is coming, and our job is to maximize it,” Gina Hinojosa, the governor-elect for Texas, told David Remnick in October. Listen to their full conversation, on #NewYorkerRadio: https://t.co/VmmLqf0g4n
Guy did the work and kept his mouth shut about it—that's the whole thing. Folks online post about helping. Folks on a loading dock just help. One's a story. The other's a morning that actually moves.
