@UTD_Seth001 Jorge contradicted to his own words when he was talking few months ago before he became Portugal's coach. Ronald made a right decision not to come back to his national team. He already achieved a lot... Like Messi
🇪🇺🇺🇦‼️ EU SILENCES ZELENSKY CRITICS
Zelensky sanctioned his former spokeswoman because she broke her silence and started talking about corruption in Ukraine.
So far so good. But why did the European Parliament follow Zelensky’s demands and ban her from speaking?
Does the European Parliament now bend to Zelensky? Is Brussels so afraid of a pro-peace message that they ban Zelensky’s former press secretary?
I find that shocking. Ursula essentially silences all negative voices that don’t say “Ukraine is winning.”
This will backfire badly … People notice.
Zelensky, as the Leader of the Free World (c), has his little weaknesses. Every now and then, he loses his temper and slaps personal sanctions on journalists, bloggers, politicians, and activists who write about his authoritarian tendencies and the bottomless pockets of his friends.
He knows these sanctions are unlawful and run contrary to the Constitution. He knows they directly contradict Ukraine’s commitments on its path toward EU membership. But apparently he just can’t help himself. Everyone has a weakness.
Some people periodically purge their Facebook friends list. Some angrily cut an ex out of old photographs. Our little dictator with a messiah complex simply sanctions Ukrainian citizens he doesn’t like. Like today against his ex-spokesperson Julia Mendel.
We all have our coping mechanisms.
I wonder what the distinguished experts on democracy, authoritarianism, and fascism — Professor Snyder and company — will have to say about this charming little habit🧐
@CanadaRoast Sometimes I think some politicians went from childhood straight into adulthood without ever really maturing. Perhaps that’s why they sometimes make such childish decisions.
