Mark Carney’s Liberals just launched a $100 MILLION taxpayer-funded steel transportation program that could run for a YEAR.

Even the Toronto Star asked the obvious question:

Does this mean the Liberals aren’t expecting a tariff deal with Trump anytime soon?

Steven MacKinnon wouldn’t answer.

He punted it back to Carney and Dominic LeBlanc.

If a deal is supposedly coming, why are taxpayers funding a 12-month contingency plan?

Mark Carney disappeared to Italy while Canada stares down another Trump tariff deadline.

Now Canadians deserve to know WHO is hosting him.

Bruce Flatt and his wife Lonti Ebers have extensive property interests in Tuscany.

Flatt is CEO of Brookfield Corporation.

He worked alongside Carney for years.

When Carney quit Brookfield for politics, Flatt took over Carney’s chairmanship at Brookfield Asset Management.

And Carney now has a FORMAL ETHICS SCREEN specifically involving Brookfield.

So this is not some meaningless question.

Is Carney staying at a property owned, controlled or provided by Flatt, Ebers, Amant or any related interest?

If not, the PMO can end this immediately.

Say where Carney is staying.

Say who is paying.

Say whether Flatt is there.

Say whether they have met.

Say whether Brookfield has been discussed.

And tell Canadians whether the Ethics Commissioner was specifically informed about Carney’s accommodation and host.

Because “the Ethics Commissioner had no problem with his reduced schedule” is NOT the same thing as clearing private hospitality from the chairman of the company Carney is formally screened from.

Justin Trudeau had the Aga Khan scandal.

Is Mark Carney about to have the Brookfield scandal?

And if there is eventually a reporting or disclosure violation that qualifies for an administrative monetary penalty, the maximum is an astonishing $500.

Five hundred dollars.

That is the ethics penalty system Ottawa built for people operating at this level.

So enough secrecy.

Where is Mark Carney staying?

Who is hosting him?

And who is paying the bill?
