We are putting #EUForeignPolicy into action to tackle the challenges that define our times. On the second day of #FPIDays 2026, we reflected on gender equality, EU peace mediation, discussed the current situation with peacemakers in the #MiddleEast, as well as how to counter disinformation & #FIMI in the digital age.

Since 2021 we have provided over €100 million to rapid peace mediation support interventions. At the Community of Practice on Peace Mediation #EUCoP25 we exchanged on how peace-making is evolving in a changing conflict landscape. Joint efforts from international community, peace practitioners & regional organisations are crucial for peaceful conflict resolution. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action!

The EU Community of Practice on Peace Mediation #EUCoP25 brings together peace practitioners from civil society, diplomatic missions, international & regional organisations to explore how to tailor mediation & dialogue support to new conflict dynamics.

Mediation is a key tool at the 🇪🇺#EU’s disposal to prevent violence, contribute to conflict resolution & strengthen international #peace & #security & we are putting #EUForeignPolicy into action to achieve this!

With our support @free_fields has removed & destroyed 178 unexploded ordnance in Greater Tripoli area, #Libya. Crucial mine risk education was delivered to 6 000 individuals, including children. This helped to increase access to productive land, improve livelihoods & access to basic services facilitating the return of Internally Displaced Persons.
