But the ARU replacing a coach so close to a world cup was always risky . in reality he has chosen a team for the 1st year in a world cup cycle not the 4th year. To leave out that amount of experience has proven costly.

I think Eddie wanted to make a statement and have a clear out , he backed a number of young guys and is saying “this is my team” not the “kiwi daves” team anymore.
