R52 million of taxpayer money burned on the Virginia Mega Poultry Project in Free State, now completely stripped and ruined.

Built in 2014–2017 for 17 local youth (mostly women) to house up to 200,000 chickens and create jobs. It failed immediately; high chick deaths, no markets, missing infrastructure, zero skills or support. NCOP flagged it in 2018. It was ignored. A private partnership offer in 2020 was rejected. By 2026 the place is plundered bare.

Classic ANC move. Flashy tender, dump the cash, walk away, leave the community with nothing. Meanwhile White commercial farmers keep feeding the country under constant threat.
