@conkuvar1 Maybe not the answer you wanted to hear but I've been through the same pain of being invisible here even with work that has done well on other sites. Your fantasy, fandom and mythology related things are good and would surely be noticed more on these!

@conkuvar1 Uh, I'm really biased but switch to Tumblr or DA as they are much more reliable for certain content if you tag properly. Both have issues and require some filtering but decent exposure is possible. Twitter is frankly atrocious for artists under 1000 followers IMO.

@JeMiChi90 Instagram is pretty bad too but at least it has gallery views and a functional comment system. I feel the same way because my account is practically invisible. Even with work that does well on Tumblr and DA. If people need at least 1K followers to succeed that's crazy.

Again, I feel bad for artists who use this site to make a living. But I blame Twitter, even pre-muskrat, for conning everyone that this was a good place to host art. It's not. It's worse than Tumblr, DA and even Instagram.

This place has always been poor for artists and I'm glad it's now more obvious. Sadly, this is going to hurt but gives the chance for old sites choked off by Twitter to heal, or new ones like inkblot to grow. I hope everyone can find a new home to keep drawing great stuff!

Remember, it wasn't until recently that pics weren't auto cropped. That should've been a hint. If you have a few thousand followers yet get little engagement, that is not a sign of a healthy site. Were people just in denial until recently?

Seriously though this sucks and AI art has already become a scourge on there.

But I know that many artists do rely on it for a living and I'm concerned that the new management will destroy opportunities for them by poisoning the algorithm even more, or have all their effort come to nothing as users jump ship.

If Twitter is going down the drain, then I have mixed feelings. For me and my art, the site has been dire. There is no way to gain traction as a new user and what's the point of only showing artists who are already mega popular?

Yet it became the main art social network somehow despite being utterly unfit for it, draining the lifeblood of countless forums and older sites and offering only a hollow scroll fest in return.
