It's early March and Cricket is already being played by the pupils during a break from lessons. We're not sure if the Form Three pupil is trying to umpire the game in the background. Great improvisation for a set of stumps! #aldrocricket#lifeataldro#freedomtoflourish
Congratulations to the Aldro U13 Rugby Sevens team, winners of the @boundaryo 7s Tournament Plate yesterday. A great result for our rugby-playing pupils and a heads-up to all those schools joining Aldro for the forthcoming U13 Rugby Sevens Tournament next week #bleedredandgreen
It was great to see the Argyle Trophy hockey matches back at Charterhouse School yesterday. Pupils from Forms 5&6 and Forms 7&8 produced some good Squad hockey in cold windy conditions. #argylecup#lifeataldro#aldrohockey
Our new Head of Science, Miss Charlotte Barrett, takes the junior girls netball team for some evening training in the sunshine, before the school holidays. #aldronetball#lifeataldro
Wednesdays Rugby matches at Home, saw a return to the usual parent-community atmosphere - with many parents (and dogs) supporting on the touch-lines of all pitches. The boys played some excellent games against regular rivals, @HighfieldSch. Great results for both sides.
COVID means few external fixtures, so Aldro use the opportunity to get on with some netball training. It's also quite a lot of fun! #lifeataldro#aldronetball#freedomtoflourish
It is great to have such a long standing relationship with @charterhousesch. Here the @AldroSchool hockey teams use the fabulous Charterhouse Sports facilities for hockey training. It is only a few minutes minibus drive between the schools. #aldrohockey#charterhousehockey
Despite the loss (40 - 25), the @AldroSchool U10A Rugby team enjoyed a good, albeit very muddy game away at Cranleigh Prep. Congratulations @CranleighPrep, thanks for hosting our boys. #AldroRugby#SchoolRugby
