It was something I liked in him compared to Ozil where Odegaard did seem to put his body a bit more on the line and not shy out of things. I guess sometimes we underestimate the impact of injuries on players and how it can affect them mentally in such challenges.
This season he also had his injury troubles and was rushed back into things but I do hope if he stays, he gets a good recovery from the summer and comes back strong. Let’s not forget how good he was before his last injury and hopefully he’s still got it in him🙏
@afcmuktar Mosquera got a yellow in the 46th min and was having a great game. Timber just came back from a lengthy injury, how do you know how long he had in the tank and also with the possibility of extra time? I think everyone expected him to only come on from the 60/70th min mark
@afcmuktar Hits the ball with his hand towards Neves too. If he hadn’t done that, Rice would have been able to turn for the counter in a dangerous position.
@double_nnn@LickshotLippy 100%, my main concern is this happening to him whilst “walking peacefully home” is being dangerously used to stir up tensions between people
@double_nnn@LickshotLippy A lot of people are missing this part out. Doesn’t sound like he was just “peacefully walking home”. If you say this to someone, to me that sounds like you’re taunting them as you said. I’m not saying it justified what happened, but it could play a big part.
Keep thinking about that Gyokeres chance in last min of extra time, hit it perfectly but just a great block. Just imagine if that went in at that moment😩
Arsene Wenger after the game:
We reached the final and gave everything we had, but I cannot help feeling that the game was influenced by more than just the football. There were decisions that went against Arsenal at crucial moments, and from where I stand, two penalty incidents deserved much closer attention, especially the challenge on Saka in the second half.
I am proud of this team. They showed courage, quality, character and the fighting spirit that Arsenal supporters expect. When you lose a Champions League final, it is painful. When key moments leave you with questions, the disappointment is even greater.
Congratulations to PSG on winning the trophy. But I believe Arsenal deserved the opportunity to compete on equal terms until the very end.
To the players: keep your heads high. Great teams are built through moments like this. Use the pain, learn from it, and come back stronger.

Gabriel Magalhães. One kick does not define you. Unbelievable across 120 minutes tonight, and stellar all season long. We stick together - in the good times and the bad.
A hundred thousand loyal fans couldn’t get tickets for the Palace game but this traitor and his sons spend all season slagging off Arteta and get to celebrate on the pitch with him and the players. That’s not right.
