we cut supply. 8888 doopies.
mint closes in 5hrs.
all 150 1/1s still in play. too good to kill.
we overshot demand. course correction is healthy. these characters are essential to the brand.
OGs: if you missed the reg window, we got you. re-opening today. more on that soon.
two years in the making. creating a 25k collection that lived up to the original doodles magic wasn't easy.. but it’s a labor of love, and i’m proud of the result.
four years in, doodles has never had a secondary character collection. i was apprehensive about making one. i didn’t want another trivial spin-off. it needed to add to our world.. a complementary layer of variation, something with the right ingredients for gamification, something that speaks to new markets, and above all.. the art had to slap. doopies achieves this.
to the doodles community: you've been here since the start, this is for you. thank you for sticking with us and believing in what we’re creating.
to everyone about to join us: welcome to our weird and wonderful world.

Rant loading... ✍️
I'll be honest, it's sad to see all the hate the top founders get - specifically those from the the 2021 era...
If it wasn't for founders like: @burnttoast, @Zagabond, @CryptoGarga, and @LucaNetz 95% of us wouldn't be here.
and no, 99.99% of you who like to think you'd take that "higher road" would have walked away long before they ever did. That's also assuming you'd have the ability to create anything close to what they along with their incredible teams have accomplished.
except they didn't leave. they're still here.
These are the guys who have been pioneering a space that changes faster than any other industry (potentially only outdone by ai). There's no guaranteed roadmap to success in this space. Which means a lot of failures, a lot of pivots, a lot of trial and error. A lot of change. All while trying to build things that take serious time.
Have they made mistakes? Yes. Just like you and I in our places of work and industries. Fortunately for you and I, we don't answer to 5,000 people who spend half their days analyzing your every move in real time.
Oh you want to step away for a break so you don't get blasted? Sorry... not allowed, if you do, you'll just come back to an angry mob.
and btw, when these "community members" get bitter, they stay bitter. They could just peacefully move on, but many prefer the road of chumming with others who also are bitter. And together they like to throw direct or sarcastic insults around as if it benefits anyone.
But rest assured, they say they care, so that's why they have given themselves the right to throw verbal trash at you.
Many of us have lost money in NFT's. Sure I get it. You're not the only one. I've round tripped hundreds of thousands of dollars all while living in a small 600 sq ft home with 3 kids. That's on me. But God knows my family's needs and even in painful misplays I've learned valuable lessons money, about greed, about giving.
But many also had their lives changed for the good. In markets, as many win, means just as many lose. Those are our own decisions. And That's part of the game we know as markets.
@burnttoast alluded to those 2021 days very well in a recent podcast when he said as founders they were like child-stars trying to chase after that next high. No one knew back then what they signed up for, and no one knew how crazy things would get.
The pressure that the NFT bubble and markets put on these founders on a personal level s beyond what we could imagine.
For that reason I have empathy on a human to human level.
Some of you need to look at yourself in the mirror, and put yourselves in the shoes of one of these founders, and just imagine what they must feel as a person when they scroll their feeds when they read your posts, your comments etc.
You get the privilege to throw whatever trash you want on the TL. Founder's don't get that luxury. Instead for them, one wrong statement fires up the community mob all over again.
It's time to forgive where mistakes were made.
It's time to zoom out, and look at what these guys hae accomplished in just 4 years. Now imagine if you had done what they did? It's time we respect these guys.
It's time we remember they're every bit of a human with real emotions as you and I are.
It's time we think before we comment or post.
It's time we ask ourselves if chumming with others who make habits of insulting and throwing sarcastic shade at founders or anyone trying to build something is really the type of people we ant to be in our circle.
If we got back to treating founders how we'd hope to be treated maybe they'd be a little more motivated to rub shoulders with the community more, when they no longer fear of being flogged for their mistakes.
Thank goodness they have guts of steel and haven't just walked away.
I honestly wouldn't blame them.
Imagine this space without Burnt Toast, without Zagabond, without Luca, without Cab, and without Garga and all the other legendary teams that have lead this space...
I don't want to imagine...
Because if not for them, 99% of us wouldn't be here.
Rant over. 🫡
