We represent the main voice of drivers across the continent — united for safety, fair work, and sustainable rail.

The ALE - Federation of European Train Drivers Unions expresses its deepest sorrow following the tragic railway accident that occurred yesterday near Riedlingen, #Germany, in which three people lost their lives, including a fellow #TrainDriver.

Our thoughts are with the victims,

and enhanced protections for railway staff, must be a priority.
In support of the bereaved families, our colleagues at the #GDL (German Train Drivers' Union) have opened a donation account. The local GDL groups in #Ulm and #Villingen have created a PayPal fund,

During 14th, 15th, & 16 May, we hosted the @ERA_railways meetings of ERTMS OH group and Operations TSI in Madrid (@_SEMAF_ premises).

We also visited the #CEDEX and the ERTMS laboratory to see how this system is tested.
