@KoenDoens Great! But what happens after a season of heavy rains? Have a look at #Itchyboots on her trip through Africa on her motorbike to see some of the real issues being faced by the local populations.
I fail to comprehend this explanation. Isn't the #OACPS the perfect platform for pursuing South-South cooperation? Why exit from a room you are in, go outside, and try to holler through the window in an attempt to be heard?
Addressing the OACPS 61 session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Maputo, Mozambique, Assistant Secretary-General, Dr Norbert Ibrahim Richard, said South Africa exited the organisation to pursue South-South cooperation and advance the 2030 agenda.
The Embassy is partnering with the EU Delegation in KGN @EUinJamaica once again to share information with π―π²'can students on the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Interested in pursuing graduate studies in Europe? The Erasmus Mundus can help. Please share widely & join the workshop.
Jamaica's 60 years of independence celebrations continue with the donation of a Rhumba box by the government of #Jamaica to the Musical Instruments museum in Brussels. Min. @kaminajsmith made her presentation via video and Amb. @BettonNayo read a message from Min. @Babsy_grange
Hoping that the #Jamaican government @AndrewHolnessJM will take note and consider whether this might also be a policy to pursue in our country, thereby freeing up resources to deal with serious crime.
Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives β for conduct that is legal in many states. Thatβs before you address the clear racial disparities around prosecution and conviction. Today, we begin to right these wrongs.

@annmarievazja Thanks for responding. I spoke to a number of residents who said that they have seen the culprits in action, some with make-shift ladders, but reported that the police have said that unless they are caught in the act, there is nothing that can be done. Sad really.
Happy to see my former boss @gmaniuri22 back in Brussels as Ambassador for #Vanuatu. We worked together for the first time, 28 years ago, in Fiji during a meeting of Regional & National Authorising Officers, when I was as an Expert in European Development Finance.
Happy that members of the Embassy and the Jamaican community were able to support our JA'can π―π² athletes at the @Diamond_League, held in Brussels today. Equally happy that we were able to meet with some of them, as well as their coaches, managers and trainers. We'll done team!
3. The Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Official Residence, was attended by nationals across the Embassy's jurisdiction, including France and the Netherlands. Nationals were in a jubilant mood, as they celebrated JAπ―π² and her accomplishments.
1. The Embassy's #Jamaica60 Church Service and Diaspora Awards Ceremony were held yesterday, 31st July. Four fellow nationals were awarded for their outstanding contribution to the enrichment of the JA Diaspora in Europe and their dedication to JA'sπ―π² development.
@kaminajsmith@mofps @MSETGovJM @NigelClarkeJa@darylvazmp Great initiative. Now let's get those solar panels installed so that we really do not need to use fossil fuels. Senator @matthewsamuda told us recently in Brussels that he has hundreds of proposals on his desk to consider. Please make it a priority.
Welcome home from Rwanda, Sen. the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. See video of yesterdayβs (June 30) surprise welcome gesture from the staff. @kaminajsmith@AndrewHolnessJM@MonteithSheila
@kaminajsmith You ran a very positive campaign and all the bilateral meetings you had will result in benefits for our country. Though we know you would have done an excellent job as SG, there is also a part of us that is quite happy that you are still our Minister. One Love!
