Today is Balaclava Day. The anniversary of the Charge of the Light Brigade, marked on this day in perpetuity by the cavalry regiments that participated. My own regiment, The Royal Hussars (PWO) @royal_hussars marks it with “Gunfire” at dawn - tea with rum, as handed out to the troopers on that morning in 1854.
