There was a little confusion around that donation and I'd like to just clarify what happened.

But before I say anything else, I'll say this:

The confusion was my mistake.

For a non-technical person, I've come a long way, but I'm not (yet) an expert @BtcpayServer user and clearly there's a lot left to learn.

Jack's donation invoice was marked as partially settled on our @BtcpayServer dashboard only because there was a tiny discrepancy between the invoice amount and the amount actually sent. While trying to check on the fundraiser progress, my mistake was to only check settled invoices. Meaning I initially missed his donation.

That, and the fact that I assumed all amounts actually received would count towards the overall progress bar (at the top of the support page) not realizing that partially settled invoices don't count at all.

The support page has been updated and thanks to @jack's support we've surpassed our fundraising target for 2023! Plus we've raised enough additional funds to renovate @the_surfer_kids center, as was the original plan with Lekker Feeling.

I'm incredibly grateful. And on behalf of our entire team, I'd like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to everyone who donated, watched, liked and re-tweeted the film.

And massive thank you to @aubreystrobel and her team for producing something special with the film.

We will keep building this project. As an example of what's possible. To inspire others with hope, just as we were inspired by @bitcoinbeach.

And we'll do everything we can to keep pushing for #Bitcoin adoption and education at the grassroots level in #Africa.
