Breaking News in the Larry Millete Murder Trial: Judge Camarena ruled this morning that no cameras, photography, or electronic media will be permitted for pre-trial motions or the trial, which is scheduled to begin May 11th. #Milletemurdertrial

It was an inspiring night with California Western School of Law's Innocence & Justice Clinic. Distinguished law professors from all over the country spoke about their powerful work advocating for those wrongfully convicted, followed by a reception and tour of the new clinic.

I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Dr. LaFleur speak about her anthropological work with lemurs in Madagascar and her work as a forensic investigative genetic genealogist seeking resolution for missing and unidentified persons. This event was held at USD where I went to law school.

Yesterday, after a 2 ½ hour court hearing with extensive legal arguments presented from both sides, Judge Camarena denied Larry Millete’s attorneys’ request for a change of venue and for a special jury pool. Larry's murder trial will remain in Chula Vista.

Breaking News from the Chula Vista Courthouse: The defense for Larry Millete just announced they will be seeking a change of venue for Larry's murder trial. They will file their motion on July 25th with a hearing on August 7th. #LarryMilletetrial
