Sound designer and Foley artist for @roosterteeth | Supervising Sound Editor for RWBY | Likes cats, musicals, and puzzles because I'm a 60 year old at heart.
Hi! I'm a sound designer/sound editor/foley artist and this is my 2020 demo reel for some of the work I've done at Rooster Teeth animation.

@hihello_hannah Congrats Hannah! I always looked forward to our VO sessions and I'm so glad we got to work together! I wish you all the best and know you will do some very exciting things in the future!
:O!!! I am so pleased to announce that the @RoosterTeeth Audio Department received #MASAwards 'Best Sound Design' nominations for both #RVBZero and #RWBY8! It's such an incredible honor to be in the ranks among some other incredible shows and I'm so very proud of the team. <3
@markkilborn@christheFER Heck yeah! If you have any questions feel free to ask me! You can't really see it in the pics but I also put a thin foam padding underneath to help the pit from sliding and stop unwanted movement sounds.
My dad helped me build a Foley pit this weekend. Since I can't just keep it on the ground and have to store it on its side we made the back panel removable so I can sweep, pour out, and change whatever material needed. Super excited to start using it for some Foley walking!
Chris leaving is a terrible tragedy. So it is with a heavy heart I assume the role of Supervising Sound Editor for RWBY9. Yet out of the ashes of this tragedy we shall rise to greet the dawning of a new era, in which sound and visuals come together in a great and glorious future!
@christheFER@RoosterTeeth This wasn't the quip I was expecting. This is heartfelt and going to make me cry! Thanks for everything over the years, I know you're going to do great things in your career! It's been an honor to work with you
.... but I'm still posting this gif now that I'm taking over
@SergeantSmilo I could do that, sounds fun! I have so many props anymore I might as well show it all off. But it might make me look like a hoarder lol.
I've also been thinking about doing side by sides of foley to picture but I always feel awkward on camera so I've been putting it off hahaha
Fun fact: I found and kept this thing because it makes a great metal squeak. It's been used in every episode of RWBY (predominantly the lamp movements) and has also been used as a sound prop in almost everything I have ever Foleyed... but I have never once used it for its squeak
@BGibbles Makes me laugh every time yall randomly pick up something from my foley props and ask "what's this for?" Or when yall use my short wooden staff to stab the air during fight effort recordings hahaha
@PlatyShroom Maybe one day there will be a squeak I can use it for lol. But it's been many other things! Mostly it's used for the Jinn' lamp movements, but it's also a layer of the atlas handcuffs, ill use it with a can opener for weapon foley and for heft in footsteps or dropped items
@MiloZimbenMusic @christheFER The flesh footsteps were, for lack of a better word, normal bare footsteps but with some bass kicks added to make them bigger. The hooves were a wooden bowl I found in RT's kitchen cabinets lol. It was pitched a bit and an exciter was added to help bring it out
@AxelLoariaV3@christheFER As Chris said post audio is all happening pretty simultaneously. I like to record Foley before I start edit so I can try and preform as much as I can and fill in the gaps with SFX. Unfortunately I don't have props for everything but I'm able to do more and more each year.
