she/her: sensory seeking, kinky, sex positive autistic writer/advocate and weekday teacher, raising a tribe of neuro- and gender- queer young people. Often NSFW
@sexblogofsorts My building team have just finished. Lots of smooth radio but the electricians were all young enough to be my kids and the rest were stereotypically awful. Crushing moment- my daughter and I both got flustered by the lovely lady plumber. I was not ready for that shared interest.
@ELByrne1 @Exposing40 My sixteen year old was very excited it was "queerer than Eurovision" and "laughed in the face of the arbitrary biological gender conformity rules of sport"...and yes, they said both those things unprompted.
@sexblogofsorts You get to define what you think coping looks like, no one else. Get a damn good counsellor and speak to them often, in great weeks and crap weeks. Ring-fence who you are. Be prepared for it to change, but aim to positive goals. Some weeks you win, some you lose, same as before.
@PastoralPeteInt @TheOther16Hours Structurally ableist and non-forgiving or understanding environment when it comes to social, economic and wider circumstances outside of pupils' direct influence- like waiting list for Camhs and EP, who celebrate a narrow range of criteria. Why expect better?
I've spent all day thinking about my lovely extended trans and nonbinary teenager tribe and what it means that schools who honour their pronouns now have to justify that decision to pacify people who will never meet those students or consider them as individuals.
@_Masterseye Watched all the people I work with across the school system fall to either awful colds unseen since autumn 2019 or covid, but only reporting to friends as noone wants to know- fingers in ears style. All the lessons learned re hygiene and not working sick are forgotten.
@_Masterseye Not a surprise. I got a cold that turned to laryngitis, pretty standard working with kids, tested for C every other day and stayed masked. Parents popping in to drop their kids off and commenting on having covid "worse than last year"...while standing in my workspace, unmasked.
@HelenArmfield Gosh...quite a lot of kink tinged "not all relationships end in marriage and babies" stuff out there, even on the dreaded kindle. e.m.lindsay, Reese Morrison...start a search with "kinkmas" and follow the rabbit hole
15 months after our hearing at the RCOJ...same time as the Wagatha Christie case was heard, we have been granted right of appeal. The wheels of justice don't move slowly, they barely move at all. The start of this journey was 2015.
@sexblogofsorts Probably why I wear a lot of jersey...I get pissed and it stretches in a discrete way? Or does that only happen when people we want to turn on annoy us? Save us from men with overactive imaginations and a crap understanding of biology.
@CoffeeAndKink Any of your senses or reactivity to busyness are like a sensitive tooth...can be mild or only affected by certain things or excruciating all the time... ideally link it to a sensory variance that is more universally experienced
@greybrow53 There are streets around the country like this. I've come across them in Blackpool and Morcambe and a building in London with many (100s) on registered offices despite having few rooms.(I was chasing down a school uniform supplier to see if the clothes were uk manfactured)
@TheOther16Hours What do you do with that when the child's diet is out of their control- they know what they should be eating but have limited autonomy and are limited to the food provided at home? The first covers that, the second makes it unachievable in practice.
@OnQueerStreet Nothing a marginalised group ever shares from lived experience is ever "official" until confirmed by a team of straight white ABA men (with a token woman/ other marginalised member to make them acceptably right) has proven it with data and a lab coat.
@_LittleSBitch Still occasionally visiting, but not up to anything fun. RL changes have me busy...found lots of us on other media, but it's not the same...fragments of who was here 5 years ago.
