Hebt u in 2022 of daarna ook maar ergens in een Nederlandse of Westerse krant gelezen, dat Rusland vóór 24 februari 2022, via diplomatieke weg, alles op alles zette om de speciale militaire operatie te voorkomen, maar dat Washington DC, Brussel en andere hoofdsteden niet eens de moeite namen om op de Russische voorstellen voor een vreedzame oplossing, persoonlijk overgebracht door hooggeplaatste afgevaardigden, te reageren?

Ik niet.

Het is precies dit soort informatie – informatie van de (gecensureerde) andere partij – die zo belangrijk is voor burgers om een genuanceerd beeld van geopolitieke conflicten te krijgen en zich niet klakkeloos een oorlog in te laten jagen.

Meanwhile, here is Polish President Ignacy Mościcki hanging out with Hermann Göring, Hitler’s Reichsmarschall, commander-in-chief of the Luftwaffe and one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany, on a hunting trip in Białowieża in 1938.

And they weren’t just shooting animals together. Göring’s hunting visits were accompanied by political talks with the Polish leadership. After the 1938 visit, Göring even presented Mościcki with a Mercedes-Benz.

This is the same Poland that signed multiple agreements with Nazi Germany and then, in 1938, got Germany’s carte blanche to seize Zaolzie from Czechoslovakia.

And today Poland lectures everyone else about “collaboration with Hitler.”

Mladá pohledná poněkud pozapomíná, že když jí jedna paní slušně napsala, že volí ANO a nehodlá to měnit, ona ji označila za trolla.
