I am standing to be a NPF rep in the East Midlands.
For far too long, politics in our region has been dominated by narrow-minded factionalism that has driven our party to the brink of ruin. It’s time to elect reps who will fight for a pluralist party with a socialist platform 🚩
Labour members have been treated with contempt by this Leadership.
We’re supporting candidates in internal elections that will back bold policies and defend members’ rights.
📅 CLPs have until 26 June to nominate candidates.

Just respect other people’s wishes for how they want to be referred to.
It’s not hard.
One of the things we British are supposed to be renowned for is good manners.

It’s Pride Month!
And to celebrate here’s what I’d do as Youth Rep to bring it back to our party- because I’ll stand up for every member, no matter what 🏳️⚧️
i haven’t seen people posting this quote as much but this is yet another disgusting thing reform’s robert kenyon said about abortion. absolutely despicable and heartless way to talk about rape victims.
Young people are not enthusiastic about voting for Labour - you can see it on social media, in conversations with friends, or even at school.
Many feel hopeless. They are rightfully worried about the rise of the far-right, the cost-of-living, and Israel’s actions in Palestine.
You’d struggle to get onto another job given some of the seedy stuff that’s come out about you pal.
Not many employers want someone who chucks around sexist, misogynistic and homophobic comments - you’d be what’s called an HR nightmare.
this is an insane bit of "saying the quiet part out loud"
journalists & the former prime minister openly saying "Britain is not a sovereign state, our democracy is a sham, and we're all lying to you about it... and that's a good thing!"
Irish and UK media / politicians only response to employment in the past 15 years has been "cut welfare to force feckless young into work"
At no point have employers been targeted and forced to streamline their absurd demands / outright scams.
This is embarrassing. It's the only broadcast interview Kenyon has done all campaign (weird) and @GBNEWS choose to not ask about his attacks on women, self-declared sexism or equating abortion with murder.
Softball, pro-Reform propaganda.
Where does all the "SAVE OUR FARMERS" energy go during summer? Every year now it's either unseasonably hot and dry, or hopelessly wet. Dreadful for farmers - worse than any tax! But right wingers never acknowledge the pressure climate change is putting British agriculture under.
Reform-led Durham council cut off funding to the annual Pride celebrations.
So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut.
Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever.
In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families.
When we stick up for each other, we can achieve anything.
#OnThisDay in 1988: Section 28 became law.
Passed under Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government, it banned local authorities from “promoting homosexuality” and stopped schools from teaching that same-sex relationships were acceptable as a “pretended family relationship”.
For years, it helped fuel fear, silence and shame around LGBT people in classrooms, councils and public life.
Teachers were left scared to support gay pupils. Young people grew up without proper representation. And a whole generation was told, by law, that their lives and families were somehow less valid.
Here is Margaret Thatcher speaking in 1987, the year before Section 28 became law, claiming children were being taught they had “an inalienable right to be gay”.
Section 28 became one of the most notorious and damaging laws of the Thatcher era.
It was finally repealed in Scotland in 2000, and in England and Wales in 2003.
The problem with Thatcherism is that you eventually run out of state assets to privatise on the cheap for your mates so start extracting rents from the very act of living from the ppl
