🚨🇺🇸The Senate just killed the SAVE Act, 48-50.
Voter ID and proof of citizenship, supported by over 80% of Americans, dead.
Four Republicans voted no: Tillis, Murkowski, McConnell, Collins.
The uniparty showed its face today...
I’m about to offer the House-passed version of the SAVE America Act on the Senate floor in connection with tonight’s vote-a-rama
This one should get at least 51 votes
Will keep you posted
51 votes for the SAVE America Act during tonight’s budget reconciliation vote-a-rama
That means that but for the Zombie Filibuster, the House-passed SAVE America Act would now be on its way to the White House for President Trump’s signature
Just in: @LindseyGrahamSC is planning to offer the SAVE America Act as an amendment to the funding bill for ICE / Border Patrol. Then, the Senate Parliamentarian will rule that it is 'out of order' and cannot be added. So, what will @LeaderJohnThune and @LindseyGrahamSC do then? Will they move to overrule the parliamentarian? that takes a SIMPLE majority vote...Will either of them do that? will the Senate GOP majority even TRY to fight the parliamentarian? We are watching, @LindseyGrahamSC and @LeaderJohnThune . Put your motions where your mouths are. Lead your caucus to actually PASS the SAVE America Act. @EIwatchdogs@BasedMikeLee@realDonaldTrump
@OCRegistrar in 18 years of politics in OC, I’ve never seen the registrar extend the report then fail to report anything.
We have people in the building…
More coming.

Congress needs to immediately move to pass a third reconciliation bill that makes significant reforms to government spending in order to adequately address the prohibitively high cost of living for too many Americans.
Scott Jennings is right:
Republicans were *not* the “people who defended opening fire hoses on protestors in the 60s.”
That was Democrats.
Democrats routinely try to hide their party’s Jim Crow past by wrongly attributing it to Republicans.
That’s shameful.
This honestly explains a lot about why the state is screwed up.
YOU ARE THE SPEAKER’S COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR. YOUR PARTY CONTROLS THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE, THE ASSEMBLY, THE SENATE, AND EVERY STATEWIDE OFFICE IN CALIFORNIA. YOU CONTROL THE ENTIRE DOCKET.
Legislative Republicans are in the superminority.
And somehow you are still blaming Republicans for the condition of California?
That mindset explains the problem better than anything else.
Nick, your team controls the Governor’s office, the Assembly, the Senate, and every statewide office in California.
Yet all you tangibly offer is choreographed political theater while WE the taxpayers get stuck funding years of constitutional fights and federal court battles over performative legislation Sacramento knows is designed to provoke lawsuits and eventually get slapped down in court anyway.
How many housing units have you built with all that power?
How much cheaper is gas?
How many insurers stayed?
How many businesses stopped leaving?
Sitting on Twitter pissing into the wind over legally doomed political stunt bills is apparently easier than governing California.
Chevron is letting customers know in California that it’s not Donald Trump causing the insane gas prices in the state, it’s California Democrats
Chevron just added these new signs to their pumps educating customers, “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more”
“California politicians are choosing foreign oil and fuels over local jobs and lower costs”
This is what we need. Huge companies willing to educate the public and tell the truth
It’s Gavin Newsom and Democrat policies causing $6.30+ average cost per gallon in California
