But if an abundance of nutritious food exists only miles away from almost any given area in LA, why do 25% of households face food insecurity and poor nutrition?

The lack of access to affordable, nutritious food is a symptom of vast economic disparities and lack of adequate economic planning in Los Angeles county. That’s why the ACP is working inside these communities to promote food sovereignty, giving working people the power to fill the gaps where the government has failed.
