@DougDeMuro given C&B has successfully sold several Jeep Cherokee XJs that are similar to mine for year/mileage/condition, why would mine get rejected to be sold? I selected no reserve and have taken excellent care of it. Very confused as it seems like a great car for C&B.

@conorsen There’s 3 questions here. Do I want to move? Where do I want to move to? Can I afford homes in the new area? These will determine if you can/should move to the new location. Not everyone can afford to live wherever they want. That’s just a reality.

@sleepisocialist This is inaccurate. Something being a “deduction” does not equate to 1:1 savings or make anything “free”. The money still leaves your account. You just reduce taxable income, which there are MANY ways to do. I hate this take so much.

@maxberger Speaking strictly W2 income they might “know” but there are so many factors that contribute to an individuals tax situation that this idea that they definitively know what you owe is completely false. I hate this narrative so much.

@marktenenholtz They had a model that was wrong and no one overseeing it to say "hey, maybe offering 15% over asking is a bit rich?" Sellers were telling stories online of how they were baffled by Zillow's offers. In this market if someone is shocked by your offer then it is WAY too high.

@marktenenholtz I kind of disagree with your explanation. I think the model was bad from the start and they were simply over paying for houses. The market is just as hot as ever. IMO their Zestimate was always way too accurate to be valuable when determining the value of a house.

@shoeylewis The part that bothers me are fans who treat it like the sport is all about the drama portrayed in the show more than it is about the engineering/racing. There’s always trackside drama, but that isn’t what the sport is about.
