Bitcoin was the first form of decentralized payment, its antoher advantage that it has against DGB.
But that doesnt mean DGB can overthrow it one day/

@VideoGuyNH Its not intentionally suppresed. Its just that until the world will understand the tech and why a decentralized form of money its far better than a centralized one. DigiByte will have its moment of shine. But now, we are in the womb, 98% of the people on the world dont even know.

Maybe in the future investors will look at DGB as a store of value too, but until then big capital will go it's way to BTC.

DigiByte on the other hand is made as a currency, it's purpose it's to use it daily , for transactions and for lots lots more. The focus of DigiByte is somehow different than Bitcoin, and filthy rich investors don't look as DGB as a store of value.

Bitcoin has lots more market cap because the rich people are looking for a counter-inflationary asset. And when they buy Bitcoin, they buy by the millions or billions of $.

If you have lots of money sitting around then you don't want to sit on them getting yearly inflation devalue. Instead you are putting ur capital into an asset who will still be around hundreds of years in the future. In fact even our grandchildren will use BTC.

Unfortunately Bitcoin and DigiByte purpose are different. Bitcoin value doesn't come from transaction speed or the fact that it can be used as a currency. BTC value comes from it's store of value model.
Think of it as basically putting your money into an asset:
