In Detroit showing solidarity with protesters. It’s time we hold police that commit heinous crimes accountable for their actions. We need to end mass incarceration and end police brutality and we need to do it now!

It’s devastating to hear about the Edenville Dam failure and I’m hoping everyone in the area makes it out healthy and safe. This is another illustrative example of why we need to invest in Michigan’s water infrastructure...1/3
Not only do we have dams failing but, we also have some communities still struggling with contaminated drinking water, inadequate water treatment facilities, and other communities like my own that experience routine flooding...2/3
I’m gonna be speaking again this week with the Clinton Township Democratic Club! You can join through Facebook Live or Zoom this Thursday at 7 PM. Hope to hear from everyone that night! https://t.co/BJQdMcSmIT
This causes school districts to rely on long-term substitutes, many of which do not need to be certified. Let’s end the teacher shortage crisis in our state and increase teacher pay!
This is needed not only because it would give educators the pay they deserve for the work that they do but, to also attract more people to the profession. Too many school districts start the school year with too few teachers.
I donated blood to the American Red Cross the other day and it got me thinking about healthcare in Michigan. Almost 600,000 people here have lost their health insurance recently due to staggering unemployment. Let’s make a system that doesn’t tie insurance to employment!
Not only to protect people during a pandemic but, to make sure workers are secure when changing jobs and not have to worry about health coverage. We need to make it easier and more affordable to access healthcare in Michigan.
