Been living in the inner city for about 15 years. The first 22 years of my life I never heard a gun fired in real life. The last 15 it's about once every three weeks. All times of day or night. It's not a reason to fear this place; it's our cry for help.

30 weeks ago I googled how long a book should be. Google told me 75,000 words. I figured if I did 2,500 a week I'd hit that by February. Today I wrote the 75,000th word. Meg and I have a book retreat weekend scheduled in a couple of weeks and then we'll start production
