I lived in Boston for a few years, and I knew I had finally been accepted by the locals when I got sucker-punched by an elderly woman at Market Basket.
@joshgondelman I had blood drawn recently, and when the phlebotomist started, she yelled “You’ve got those ideal veins!” Then as she was finishing the blood draw: “That’s some BEAUTIFUL blood, baby!”
I love March Madness, because it’s the time of year I get to hear my coworkers say “I coulda gone to Duke”.
My guy, I doubt you can even ~spell~ Duke without help.
Never not thinking about/gaining inspiration from @Jordan_Morris and #JJGo, apparently.
P.S. Go donate to the various WGA/SAG support funds so writers can continue to fight for fair pay!
Real thing I just said at the grocery store: “Well @JesseThorn says @TillamookDairy makes the best mass-market ice cream, so we should give it a shot.”
I feel like Tillamook owes Jesse AT LEAST a free half-gallon for this.
Here is a lab lab!
Our lab here needs to wear PPE just like the people doing the science.
He is the service dog of a student in a chemistry professor's lab.
(Shared with permission.)
So I listen to @JesseThorn’s @Bullseye interview with @mradamscott yesterday, and THIS is recommended on YouTube for me today?!? Coincidence?!? Should I go try and hold an otter’s hand now
@joshgondelman I worked at a restaurant in Boston called Banjo’s Roast Beef. It was a southern-food place, but it was in Boston, so according to my boss: “You gotta put roast beef in the name”.
@GizLetty Our Le Creuset Dutch oven is great, use it for SO MANY THINGS.
…Lodge makes one just as good for MUCH less money (our LC was a wedding present, only reason we would have a Lodge).
In third grade for school I had to learn all the words to “We Didn’t Start The Fire” and to this day I know the names of a lot of things that happened but not a single fact about any of them.
@MikaelaLefrak@radiofinn@vermontedition@jbscrane Myer’s in Burlington is def my favorite. Gives you a Montreal-style bagel (which are great; calm down, New Yorkers) without making a trip across the border!
