Therapy was the first time where I could be honestly, vulnerably, authentically – even pathetically – me. Where I didn't feel totally ashamed to be me. This is the power of the therapeutic relationship.

Talking about our problems feel cathartic and can be enough - but what about when it isn't? Brainspotting allows you to process deep emotional experience, without the use of language. #brainspotting#trauma#psychotherapy#relationships#intuitive#Hull https://t.co/FP2LD5KWiI
@ScarfmanAndy Thank you, that's kind of you. I have everything crossed we're able to start doing more very soon, I hope that includes your next step for you.
I went back to therapy this week. I forgot how tough it is to talk about your feelings. Like really talk about them.
So to anyone else out there fighting mental illness, remember your doing SO great, and your so much tougher than you know💪
@laurenb_ymhm List, list, list... and usually more than one because I forget them 😊 compassion like Steph says and a good support network that you feel OK to lean on 💛 genuinely hard at times.
Great thread... My experience of 'What the actual fuck" started my passion of working with parents 💛 because I needed honesty not romance and lies. #truth#parenting
I get the sense more parents are now seeing through the NEED to home teach their children, and can now give themselves permission to prioritise mental health. This helps me breathe 💛 #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek
Are you homeschooling this week? Help your child to explore the different ways they can express themselves by taking part in #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek. 🏡

Therapists need to be regulated in order to offer regulation and an adequate service to their clients - being on video calls whilst knowing your children are unsupervised will impact their ability to be regulated and fully present with their client.
@GethincJones keyworkers: Whilst it seems clear to me that psychotherapists and counsellors fall under the umbrella of mental health, health & social care - many of my colleagues have not been been regarded so. This means many are not working or are working...
We believe we should be explicitly named on the list as our nation is experiencing a Mental Health crisis and it should be all hands on deck. I find the belief/expectation that parents working from home can take care of their children too - very damaging.
